Talking to the bear

So here are some pictures from Christmas. We all got some great things and had a good time with Kevin's family. We survived the holiday with all the travel and everything, and hope to be home for the next month or so without too much happening. I just wanted to share a "not a very good idea" moment today. It snowed last night and what we have to do is move our cars for the plow to come by. Kevin had left for work, and I was getting the car ready to be moved. I threw Daniel in the car while it was running so that we could move the car together, and a moment later I hear a "lock". I just turned my head for a second to finish clearing off the car. So for the next 30 minutes he was playing with the steering wheel, turing on the wipers, eating crumbs from who knows when, and playing with some toys in the car as Kevin comes home from work to help out. He had a great time, and it was a good laugh. My neighbor was watching, and when the plow had gone by, she offered to watch the kids inside while I moved my car back. I took her up on it! So that was a great last memory of 2007, lets see what 2008 has in store!

Well we are back from vacation and jumping right into Christmas. We had a great 10 days away, and what was a big blessing is if we didn't leave early, I think we would have been delayed in leaving with the snow hitting New England. God's timing is perfect. Daniel had a great time with his cousin Michael, Rachel got to meet her grandparents and cousins, and Kevin and I had some time away with some time to relax. Daniel just ran and ran all over the place! When we got back, we had to dig our cars out of the snow, we missed a few snow storms while we were in Florida, sorry about that all my NE friends! Here are some pictures for you to enjoy, have too many to post them all, and I will update again when we get back from Christmas. We are celebrating with Kevin's family down in New Bedford. Hope you all get a chance to enjoy time with family.

I thought this was a great picture of Rachel. We were waiting in the lobby for my cousins to arrive. This is the first time in a long time my family has had a chance to spend time with eachother

Kevin and I posing together. Rachel was on the baby bjorn almost all the time, she was the easy one!

Daniel fell right asleep on the table while we picked up lunch one day. I wish I could tire him out like this every day.

Here is my sister, mom, dad, and Kevin with Daniel and Michael in the stroller. The boys loved the stroller, and jumped into it pretty much every day. It was also a great place for them to take naps in.

The weekend before a trip

It is a quiet house as we approach the weekend before a trip. We are leaving on Tuesday, and after changing our plane arrangements, taxi arrangements, car arrangements, room arrangements, I guess I need to think about packing. I hope my sister overpacks good enough for me :-). Both of the kids are getting over colds and there is a lot of last minute things to think about, so I won't post again until we get back, in a week and a half or so. Both kids just woke up, there goes the quiet. Back to work, hope you all have a good weekend, and I hope to have some great pictures to post from the trip!

Here is our attempt at a christmas card picture. As you can see, it didn't go well. So enjoy the picture and hope your holiday season looks better than this!

David, Daniel, Gabriella, and Rachel. David and Gabriella are the two kids that my good friend Kayleen takes care of. Kayleen keeps me out of trouble as I learn how to handle two kids, I learn a lot from her!

Finally a good picture of Daniel and Rachel!

Daniel watching television on the potty training seat we just bought. Any man would like his toilet right in front of the TV.

This week we found out that Kevin's work trip is to Florida is going to piggyback our family vacation to Disney World. So we are leaving for Florida on the 11th and will be gone until the 21st...which means December is going to fly by! So this week I will be getting us ready for the trip and then we are off. Also, VT won the ACC championship game this weekend, go Hokies!!
