Birthday Potties. Or Birthday Parties and Potties

That sums up our week.  It was Kevin's birthday week, I had bought presents and couldn't keep them a surprise very well so we celebrated all week.  Kevin took a half day off on Wednesday and we hung out in the morning at a little park in Bedford.  The kids loved the pineapple I bought  so here they are eating it on the beautiful day.

So the next day I decided to start potty training Daniel.  I had all the stuff, have been reading about it for a while, just needed to jump right in.   So here is Daniel on the potty reading a truck book, and he is doing pretty good so far.  This morning he pooped in the toilet and jumped around yelling, "I did it"!  It was so cute.
Here is Rachel playing peek a boo behind the chair.  She is all over the place and into everything, well everything Daniel has.  They are playing around really well together, and know even at this age how to get on eachother's nerves!
Here is a quick look at them chasing after each other.  They really know how to make each other laugh.  Kevin is going to be flying on Joint Stars plane this week, so I will send the camera and hopefully we can post some pictures of that later this week.

How to move a house...or not.

I just wanted to do a little walk down memory lane and show the progression of our home.  I think we are all done with what needs to be done now, and it is amazing just to look back and see what has happened over the last two years.

Here is our house in Bedford, very pretty.
This is our house in half as we get ready to move it.
This is the plot of land we bought in Barrington, NH

Here is the house put together on the land.

Here is the house now with the fill taken out of the front and finally everything finished that needed to be.

So if you hear us talking about a house in NH, this is what we are talking about and the process we went through.  I think we learned the importance of good people doing good work and how bad people can hurt progress.  I thank God for brining us this far!

Strawberry Picking Funness

This week I was able to go strawberry picking with the kids.  It was fun, we didn't get too many berries, but we got to eat a lot of them and have fun.  Well, as much fun with a toddler and an infant.  We went to Parlee Farms where you can see the goats too, and I think Daniel was happy to meet up with his friends again. I would pick the strawberries and the kids would eat them, I am glad they like fruit so much!  I have been keeping on the leash with Daniel because he has been running away from me a lot more lately, he is very fast and strong.  I think that is a happy medium for the both of us.

We are heading up to NH tomorrow to check on our house and I think, I pray, that everything now is taken care of.  The land in front of the house is moved, the rock is moved, the association is happy (I think), and the town will be happy too.  I want to take some pictures and post them.  Now all we need is a buyer, and there have been a few more interested people lately.  All we need is one!

Our family is also happy that the Celtics won with no more late nights for Kevin.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the Father's out there.  We wouldn't be here without you!  It was a pretty eventful week, after getting back from our trip last week we were slowly getting back into the swing of things.  Kevin had a few softball games with work, the days were warm so we had to find some cool things to do, and just some general housekeeping items to round out the week.

I bought a little pool for the kids.  It is inflatable so we can put it away easily, but it is a fun afternoon thing to do.  It's not as nice as the beach, but a good alternative.

Another highlight was that my parent's drove to NY for Iowa where they are currently living, and we met them on Sat almost halfway in Lee, MA, where the outlets were.  We saw my parents, sister, nephew and the only one we didn't see was my brother, but I think we will have a few opportunities next month to see him.  We had some good shopping, I mean bonding, experiences, I got a nice bag with some nice shoes and a few shirts.  My sister Beau didn't put Rachel down, only to try on a few things.  My parents bought Daniel one of those plasma cars, he loves it, so hopefully I will get a video up with him zooming around on it.  We couldn't resist getting the boys matching shirts, and for the fact that they both spilled juice on their shirts already from lunch.
Here is my dad with Rachel.  The kid's have nick named him Buddy.

So Kevin has been pretty happy about the Celtics games, and although he is tired, I hope they win tonight!  I will make Kevin his favorite meal and we will have a pleasant afternoon to finish off Father's Day.  Here just a cute picture of Rachel!

Beach time

Week in North Carolina

We are back from our trip to North Carolina, and I didn't mention much about it earlier because it was a surprise 30th birthday vacation for Kevin's brother Ryan.  We flew direct into Raleigh and spent some time with my Aunt and Grandmother too, so it was a full fun family week.  We hadn't been to the Outer Banks before and Ryan's wife Kristin did a great job finding a house right on the beach.  It was also off season, so there weren't many people there.  Daniel and Kevin loved the beach, I didn't get burned, Rachel began crawling, so it was a busy week!!

Here is a picture of us on the last day we were there.  See how close to the ocean we were!  It was very hot too, it was high 80's low 90's most of the time.  Member's from Kristin's family were there also, and we all had fun in the big house.

This is a little out of order, but we bought Daniel a little carry on, and it made the airport time much more fun for him.  We filled his bag with books, blankets, and diapers, the necessities for a 2 year old.
Here is me being artsy with the photo.  Daniel would sit right down at the top of the stairs to get his shoes off and then run into the ocean.
Here we found a park in Raleigh and were playing.  It went up to 100 degrees that day so we didn't stay out long.
And as I mentioned Rachel is crawling now, well scooting around.  She has such a happy personality, and overall both kids did well with the trip.  Some days they were up just way too early, but I had a lot of help with them, so that made it easier.

I have a video to post, and I will try to get a few more photos up.  But for now, it is good to be back home.
